The tracklisting for the forthcoming George Harrison album `Let It Roll` has been released but there are some glaring omissions.
The albums ‘Thirty Three and a Third’ (This Song, Crackerbox Palace), ‘Dark Horse’ (Ding Dong), ‘Extra Texture’ (You, This Guitar) and ‘Gone Troppo’ (Dream Away) don’t rate a mention, basically eliminating an reference to his works from 1974-1979 and 1982.The album also ignores the Traveling Wilburys era, one of the most important pieces of the George Harrison history.
Maybe a two disc version should have been produced to recognize the remarkable, yet other under-rated talent of Beatle George.
Harrison’s experimental albums ‘Wonderwall Music’ and ‘Electronic Sound’ from ’68 and ’69 are not included either, but we’ll let them get away with that decision.
