Was Shaheen Jafargoli a set-up to cash-in on the Susan Boyle phenomena?
After Susan Boyle amazed the world with her incredible voice, and became a YouTube sensation generating more views on YouTube that Barack Obama’s acceptance speech, along came 12-year old Shaheen.Shaheen botched his first attempt by coming on and poorly singing an Amy Winehouse song. Normally, at that stage of the contest, he would be kicked off the show.
No, it didn’t happen. Simon Cowell said he could do better and asked if he had another song.
The kid belted out Michael Jackson’s ‘Who’s Loving You’.
Why was he given a second chance? Is he a plant?
It certainly looks like it when you watch the footage.
Britain’s Got Talent is in trouble. The world has already decided the winner and the winner is Susan Boyle.
But you can’t have a talent show when the results are pretty much certain from the start.
Britain’s Got Talent has to make it look like it is possible someone can beat Susan Boyle. My guess is that Shaheen Jafargohi was a ring-in to reset perceptions.
Hey, its a Simon Cowell show. We aren’t talking credibility here. We are talking business.
The only way Britain’s Got Talent can keep this guy in the Ferraris he has become accustomed to is if the fudge the potential outcome.
My thoughts are that Susan should exit the show and be given a contract now. Why wait? The world is hot for a Susan Boyle album and it will come regardless of whether she wins or not.
Take her out now, put out a record, put her on tour.
Of course, that isn’t the Cowell way. He will milk the rating out of Ms. Boyle right to the bitter end, and then sign her anyway.
Watch Shaheen sing ‘Valerie’ then Michael Jackson’s ‘Who’s Loving You’.
