Hoodoo Gurus have a new home. Their next album will be released through Sony Music Entertainment Australia.
For Sony Chairman and CEO Denis Handlin, it is a chance to finally work with the iconic band. “It is real honour to have the Hoodoo Gurus sign with Sony Music,” he said in a statement. “Over the years I have always admired their great songs and live performances. I’m excited to be working with the Hoodoo Gurus and we are really looking forward to releasing their new album later this year.”Lead singer Dave Faulkner is equally excited to be a part of the label. ”We’re thrilled to be working with Denis, Tony and all the great folk at Sony. Stay tuned ‘cos the best is yet to come,” he said.
As part of the deal, Sony Music will release the Gurus next album, their first in 5 years, as well as the entire back catalogue.

Together with the re release of the catalogue as well as a brand new album the band is really looking forward to the future together”.
Hoodoo Gurus were inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2007.
Their hits include ‘Bittersweet’, ‘What’s My Scene’ and ‘Like Wow, Wipeout’.
