Jason Mraz has just learnt that he will be the recipient of the Hal David Starlight Award at the Songwriters Hall of Fame this year.
The award was created in 2004 and named in honor of the Songwriter Hall of Fame chairman, the legendary Hal David, who wrote all those great songs all those years ago with Burt Bacharach such as ‘This Guy’s In Love With You’.Mraz is being honored for the body of work on this three albums ‘Waiting For My Rocket To Come’, ‘Mr A-Z’ and ‘We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things’.
He will be given the award to the ceremony at the New York Marriott Marquis Hotel on June 18.
Jason is currently touring Australia and rumours are circulating that Jason Mraz will be playing a secret late night club show at around 12:30am somewhere in Sydney after his sold out gig at the Hordern Pavilion.
