Record Store Day Covers Australia This Saturday

401 stores and names like Wes Carr, Wendy Matthews, Alex Lloyd, Cheech & Chong, Jessica Mauboy, Natalie Bassingthwaighte and Russell Morris are just a sample of artists who will get together across Australia this Saturday for the first annual Record Store Day Australia.

Record Store Day Australia is a reminder about the place most people still discover music, in a record store.

More than 9 out of every $10 spent on music in Australia is in stores.

Less than 10% of albums purchased in Australia are downloads. Australians still want the trophy and buy the CD.
