Manchester band Doves are so happy with their fourth album that their celebrations would shock the World Health Organisation (not that hard...) and probably their mothers as well.
“A monumental p*ss-up of Biblical proportions will ensue,” singer/guitarist Jez Williams told the Daily Star.“[Debuting at #2] is the biggest compliment. We worked so frickin’ hard on this album, it kind of puts your faith back in people’s judgment.”
The funny thing is, a quote like that usually signifies the mammoth ego of the artist behind the work, but in this case, we’re inclined to agree.
“We brought a load of stuff from Russia. Some of these weird and wonderful machines were assembled in a tank factory to make noises.
“I’d say it took us two and half years to make.”
I mean really, does that sound awesome or does that sound awesome?
The record, ‘Kingdom of Rust’ is out now.
