Ousted Eagles guitarist Don Felder is going to do a show of his own
Felder was a member of the Eagles from 1974-1980 and got back for the reunion in 1994 but was dumped from the band in 2001.Felder’s finest moment with the band was as the written of their iconic tune ‘Hotel California’. He also co-wrote ‘Too Many Hands’, ‘Victim of Love’, ‘The Disco Strangler’ and ‘Those Shoes’. He sang lead vocal on ‘Visions’.
Don Felder will once again go on stage to perform his Eagles songs, including ‘Hotel California’, on May 23, 2009 at the Colosseum at Caesars Windsor in Canada.
The gig will mark a new level of activity for the guitarist who has not been very visual ever since he left the band. In fact his major creative output since 2001 was as author of the kiss and tell biography ‘Heaven & Hell’ where he pretty much paints Don Henley & Glenn Frey as manipulative businessmen.
The book went on to become a New York Times Best Seller.
No doubt the Felder live show will be full of anecdotes from the book as well as the songs.
