Gossip site TMZ got it really wrong when they reported the death of Shante Broadus, the wife of Snoop Dogg.
On Friday, TMZ announced that Shante was in a possible fatality and that Snoop “has the dead body of his wife in the basement”.TMZ claimed that a tipster called the story in around 3.19pm on Thursday citing the LA County Sheriff’s Department as the source.
A spokesperson for Snoop called the news “ridiculous”.
Snoop Dogg (real name Cordozar Calvin Broadus) married Shante in 1997. They separated 7 years later but got back together in January 2008.
