The Vagrants Hi-Fi Bar launch of the `Be There` album was filmed for a live DVD.
“We are going to use the footage for live streaming on GIG TV, for youtube, and a Live DVD for sale in Europe when we get there,” says the band’s Steve Iorio. “We will also use it for Rage, MTV etc.. Importantly, We also like to look at ourselves, as you can see by the perfect tans that we have and the designer clothes, we are very vain. So we will watch it over and over in our spare time”.The Vagrants story has been building not only in hometown Melbourne but also in Europe where the band has toured often and has been included in Popkomm showcases.
Regarding Popkomm, Steve and Renate Iorio put together The Great Australia Wave, the showcase of Aussie acts at Popkomm. The Vagrants signed a deal with Warner Chappell out of the trip. Claire Bowditch likewise took to the stage and was met later with solid contacts in the European music market.
