Queen guitarist Brian May has co-authored a book detailing the theories on the beginning of the universe.
The book is not written in the language of mathematics, and is written to give those of us not fluent in the theories of the universe.So we know what you're thinking right now. Probably the same thing we all thought here in the office when we read the headlines. "What the hell does Brian May know about the creation of the universe?"
You're thinking that? Am I right? I'm right aren't I?
Turns out, May abandoned his PhD studies to concentrate on Queen. He recently said he has always been torn between his two passions, music and astrology.
A message from May on the book's official site, http://www.banguniverse.com/ says, "For me personally, the writing and researching of BANG! have been a wonderful voyage of discovery; I feel hugely privileged to have been able to spend time with Sir Patrick and Chris over the last two and a half years, and take part in the creation of something which we all hope will inform, and excite, and entertain, and provide a new generation of potential astronomers with inspiration."
