U2 have sold out the first leg of their 360 degrees tour in a matter of hours.
Tickets for the tour, which is starting in June, went on sale yesterday.The first show in Barcelona on June 30 sold out in 54 minutes. Within three hours, three Wembley shows had gone on sale.
The home crowd is also up for a bit of U2. The Croke Park, Dublin shows sold out in record time, with a third show also added within hours.
The 360 degree tour will initially hit 14 cities across Europe before moving to the US.
The first American show will take place on September 12, 2009 in Chicago.
Mark Fisher, who designed the sets for ZooTV, PopMart, Elevation and Vertigo, has once again designed the stage visual for this tour.
Expect U2 to get the shows coming on this one for the next few years. The band played 131 shows for the Vertigo tour between March 26, 2005 and December 9, 2006.
