Australian acts would have lost the chance to showcase at the Aussie BBQ at SXSW in Austin this year if it wasn’t for Elwood Jeans.
The Australian based clothing company has been the strongest supporter of the music event that has given Australian acts to be seen in front of the music industry at the world’s biggest music conference for the last 5 years.“No-one came to the party this year when we needed support except for Elwood Jeans,” Stage Mothers and Aussie BBQ director Mary Mihelakos tells Undercover News. “Andrew Gillot at Elwood Jeans believed in the Aussie BBQ and support of the Australian acts and supported us financially, and with t-shirts and jeans. If it wasn’t for Elwood, we wouldn’t have been able to do it at all”.

“Elwood is a very recognisable brand in Australia,” Mary says. They have a new range of jeans and I gave a pair to Gareth from The Drones. He loves the jeans. He hasn’t taken them off since he has been here”.
