Hot on the heels of their successful reissue of 1989’s ‘Paul’s Boutique’, which celebrated the album’s 20th anniversary, the band are now reissuing ‘Check Your Head’.
The er, very special 17th anniversary of the record will be celebrated by releasing the album in all kinds of formats.There’s the standard CD release, the fancy deluxue CD release, the double vinyl release and the fancy schmancy four record 180gm “super deluxe” edition, which will come in a coffee table book just so you can’t keep it with the rest of your records (there will only be 2000 copies of them anyway).
If you buy the digital deluxe version you’ll also be hit with a whole bunch of videos thrown in as well.
The Beasties also have an album of new material coming out later this year, and no doubt we can expect to see a whole bunch more reissues as time goes by too. Next in line would be 1994’s ‘Ill Communication’.
