On April 18, the Australian Music Industry will unite for a national day of activity called Record Store Day Australia and Taylor Swift likes the idea.
Taylor was the biggest selling artist in the United States last year. She ended 2008 with two albums in the American top 10.Seeing her debut album for the first time in a record store was an unforgettable experience for Taylor.
“Walking into a record store and seeing my CD on the shelf for the first time was the craziest experience,” she tells Undercover News. “I was 16. It was the release week of my first album and I went into the Best Buy in New York City and just freaked out. I couldn’t believe I was seeing my CD on the stands. To this day, it is just a little bit of a cool moment for me whenever I walk by and see my CD on the stands because that is something I never thought I’d get to see”.
Taylor was in Australia this week for the first time doing shows and talking about her music.
