Tinted Windows, the supergroup featuring Taylor Hanson of Hanson, Bun E. Carlos of Cheap Trick, James Iha of Smashing Pumpkins and Adam Schlesinger from Fountains of Wayne have put their first song up on MySpace.
‘Kind of a Girl’ is an interesting sound considering the diversity of the players. Taylor is pure pop up against James’ grunge guitar, and the pop/rock sensibilities of Adam on bass and Bun E. on drums.The band will release its debut album on S-Curve Records, the label founded by former Mercury Records exec Steve Greenberg.
The first album is scheduled for release on April 21 with a Letterman appearance locked away also for that week to kick the release along.
Tinted Windows will make their live debut on March 20 at SXSW.
