U2 has kicked off their first night of a week of appearances on the Letterman show with one from left of centre.
Instead of going for the obvious hit ‘Get On Your Boots’, the band played ‘Breathe’ from the new album ‘No Line On The Horizon’.“Let me tell you a bit about our next guest,” announced Dave in his introduction of the band. “Larry Mullen Jr, there is your hard working drummer. Adam Clayton on bass. The Edge, guitar. Bono vocals. 22 Grammy Awards, that’s 22 Grammy Awards. 2005 inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and listen to this, they have sold 145 million albums”.
The Letterman show features an audience of 250. U2 will do the show with Dave every day this week.
