The band so metal that they have their genre in their name, Metallica, collate their videos for a new DVD.
Aptly titled 'Metallica: The Videos 1989 - 2004', the compilation will indeed feature all the classic music videos that the band have made over the career. Twenty one videos in total, it begins with the spooky "absolute horror" of 'One' from '...And Justice For All' and winds up with the clip from 'St.Anger's 'Some Kind Of Monster. There will also be bonus ephemera including the introduction to their 1991 video '2 Of One', a "Jammin' Version" of 'One', a theatrical length version of 'The Unforgiven' and the trailer for the amazing 2003 doco 'Some Kind Of Monster'. There is also a clip for 'Mama Said' which has never been aired. The DVD will be released on December 5, coincidentally just in time for Christmas.
It will tide fans over while the metal legends record their 'St. Anger' follow-up. They're currently in the studio with producing svengali Rick Rubin, who recently worked on albums for Justin Timberlake, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dixie Chicks, and U2's next one.
