The Cure will make good and cover the cost of tickets after 500 fans were out of pocket when a ticketing company collapsed.
Originally, the reaction from the promoter AEG live was “stiff chatter guys” but now there has been a change of heart (after a lot of bad press) and AEG live has now reissued new tickets to the fans.Ticket company Trinity Street had sold the 500 tickets to the bands O2 show in London this week but ceased trading before the tickets had been sent.
AEG live first suggested that fans attempt to stop the transaction going through on their credit card then buy more tickets. That would be a long turnaround for the fans and even then might not have been successful.
A statement from AEG issued over the weekend read, "New tickets will be dispatched to you on Monday, by registered post. Please note that they will need to be signed for upon delivery.
"We would like to take this opportunity to offer our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience that you may have experienced."
The Cure will perform on February 26 at London’s O2 with Franz Ferdinand Crystal Castles and White Lies.
