After spending most of last year soaking up French rays, Nick Milwright from Blackchords has returned home and preparing for the release of the much anticipated first album from the band.
Think Radiohead, think Coldplay, think Jeff Buckley when you think Blackchords.Now after a long time being talked about, the album is set to arrive on April 18 through Dust Devil Music.
"I always felt bad that there are these songs that I've written and played in the past that have now just disappeared from existence cause I was never able to capture them on a record," Nick said in a statement. "So finally being able to record is almost like a spring clean. I've recorded them now and I can move on. I'm free to start working on new ideas with the knowledge that I'm not going to forget or lose these old ones cause they've finally been captured!"
Blackchords will also perform shows in Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia in coming weeks to promote the release.
