Sonic Youth have pooled together with Beck and Jay Retard to release a limited edition 7 inch single in some territories for Record Store Day 2009.
The Pay No Mind single will feature ‘Pay No Mind’ by Sonic Youth on the A Side and Beck ‘Green Light’ (a Sonic Youth cover) to be sold on Record Store Day only on April 18.Only 1500 copies of the disc will be produced, 500 will be distributed to Record Store Day stores in the UK
The Hang Them All single will feature ‘Hang Them All’ by Jay Reatard as the A side and ‘No Garage’ by Sonic Youth as the B-side.
The first Record Store Day was a massive when it was held in 2008.
This year, Undercover and the Australian Music Retailers Association (AMRA) have got together to make Record Store Day something special in Australia.
In coming weeks, Undercover will keep you informed of the Record Store Day activities include artist instores, performances and signings.
Record Store Day 2009 will be an international day of activity in record stores worldwide.
The event this year will be held on April 18.
