Michelle Branch has uploaded a short clip for her new song `This Way` at her website.
In a posting at the site Branch says, “Raphael Mazucco shot this out in the desert while we were taking photos for the album. It's amazing what you can do with a store bought hand held video camera these days. I especially like the part where "hold" is written across my chest. I'll have to ask Raphael what he was trying to say artistically there.”So Michelle fans, that officially means a new album is on the way.
Michelle has been recording in Nashville.
Her last studio album was ‘Hotel Paper’ in 2003, although there was ‘Stand Still, Look Pretty’, the album she recorded with Jessica Harp in 2006 as The Wreckers.
Michelle found fame when her first major release ‘The Spirit Room’ sold more than a million copies off the back of the hit song ‘Everywhere’.
Just a few years later things went ugly when Michelle slagged the song ‘Game of Love’ with Carlos Santana, although it won a Grammy. She claimed her record company made her do it.
As well as ‘This Way’, Michelle says she has recorded two other songs and plans on putting the album out soon, but there is no official release date.
The third Michelle Branch will be called ‘Everything Comes and Goes’.
