After a long stint as both President of A&R for Warner Music Australia and Managing Director of Mushroom Records, Michael Parisi has left the nest to feather his own business.
Parisi has founded Michael Parisi Management, a three-pronged entertainment arm consulting A&R, event creation and artist management.He will continue to advise the careers of Warner acts Eskimo Joe, Gabriella Cilmi and The Galvatrons and will now start looking for new artists.
MPM will consult Mushroom Publishing for Michael Gudinski and Ian James. He will also oversee Lectern Rock for the Belong Advertising Group and develop The Dream Inc Music Workshops with singing instructor David Jaanz and former record company exec Frank Varrasso.
Michael Parisi was behind the signing of Superjesus and Regurgitator in the mid 90s before moving to Mushroom and starting the careers of 28 Days and Motorace.
Parisi’s most recent success was the signing and development of Gabriella Cilmi, who won 6 ARIA Awards in Australia last year.
