Ice-T launches his new VH1 series 'Rap School' after 'Hip-Hop Honors'.
Right after the iconic rapper hosts VH1's third annual 'Hip-Hop Honours' on October 17, viewers will get to sample his latest venture, a reality TV show where Ice schools 7th and 8th graders in the subtleties and profanities of rap.Ice-T invades York Prep in Manhattan's Upper West Side where he'll teach the budding teens the ins and outs of the rap game. A press release promised that they'll absorb the hip-hop pillars of rhyming, timing, scratching and breakdancing, but unfortunately there is no word on whether Ice will delve into pimping, ghost-riding the whip, flamboasting, frontin', chillin' with a dimepiece of 'dro, jukin' and playa hatin'.
The young rappers are said to overcome personal issues of shyness, stuttering, and family disruptions through the show with the help of the copkiller turned TV detective. Like Gene Simmons' Rock School where the children ended up supporting Motorhead, Rap School has to whip the kids into shape before they complete their final exam, opening up a show for rap pioneers Public Enemy.
