Steve Howe, Chris Squire and Alan White might not quite add up to 100% Yes but the shows are doing well.
The Yes concerts took place recently across the US and will continue into 2009.On vocals is Benoit David, a singer discovered by the band via YouTube. Jon Anderson was not well enough to do the tour this year so the current members brought Benoit in for the tour.
Rick Wakeman also decided to sit this one out, citing it was too strenuous for men of their age to be doing such an extensive tour. In his place, his son Oliver was recruited for keyboard duties.
The In The Present tour will restart on February 5 and 6 in Mexico City.
Chris Squire said in a statement, “This is turning out to be one of the best performing line-ups in YES’ storied history. It feels like we’re rediscovering these songs all over again, playing them ‘In the Present,’ as if for the very first time.”
