Kanye West and the SNL F**K Up

Kanye West fans heard what their star really sounds like thanks to an AutoTune malfunction on Saturday Night Live on the weekend.

West was performing the song ‘Love Lockdown’ but the technical fuck-up meant that viewers of the show heard an out-of-tune West struggling through the song.

AutoTune technology is used to process vocals, in effect disguising the real sound of the voice.

The technology allows for notes to be corrected as the song is sung live.

It also allows for two people to be singing the same song, or different parts of the song, and the song to sound like one voice.

Kanye used the technology extensively on his new album ‘808s and Heartbreak’.

What we didn’t know until the SNL performance, however, was that there is a second voice hidden in the background of a Kanye West performance singing the notes he struggles with.

In the SNL performance, the second voice was obvious.

What is really hilarious, is that Kanye has posted the performance, as bad as it is, on his official website.
