Mike Patton`s Fantomas will perform their album `The Director`s Cut` in its entirety at the Big Day Out 09.
‘The Director’s Cut’ was the second album for Fantomas. It was released in 2001.The album was not so much cover versions of popular movie themes but moreso reinterpretations of the themes.

Patton formed Fantomas in 1998, just prior to the break-up of Faith No More.
The band is somewhat of an alternative metal supergroup featuring also Buzz Osborne from The Melvins, Trevor Dunn from Mr Bungle and Igor Cavalera from Sepultura.
Big Day Out starts on January 16 in Auckland and finished February 1 in Perth.
