Ray Davies Receives BMI's Top Honor

Kink's frontman Ray Davies was saluted at the 2006 London Awards, held by BMI on October 3rd.

Broadcast Music Inc (BMI) honored the top European songwriters, composers and publishers at the gala ceremony held at London's Dorchester Hotel.

Davies was named a BMI Icon on the night.

Other awards went to Per Gessle and Mats Persson (Roxette) for the song 'Listen To Your Heart'; Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett for Gorillaz' 'Feel Good Inc' and Stuart MacKillop, Maggie Reilly and Peter Risavy for Cascada's 'Everytime We Touch'.
