The final Big Day Out announcement has been finalised as the third announcement was made today.
Joining the impressive line up is Fantomas, Son of Dave, Barrence Whitfield, The Butterfly Effect, T-Rek, Quan, I Heart Hiroshima and The Reels.Fantomas are probably best known as a project of former Faith No More front man Mike Patton, but they also feature two members of The Melvins and Trey Spruace (Mr. Bungle, Faith No More). Their live shows are a chaotic blend of noise and metal and must be seen to be believed.
Probably the strangest addition to the bill is 70s pop stars The Reels, who have recently reformed and will make a nice addition to the line up for the older crowd there just to see Neil Young.
The remaining lineup is:
Serj Tankian, Dropkick Murphys, Black Kids, Hot Chip, Lupe Fiasco, Holy Ghost!, Z*Trip, Died Pretty, The Vines, Infusion, Children Collide, Pee Wee Ferris, Sparkadia, The Getaway Plan, Little Red, Mammal, Mercy Arms, Ajax, Andee Frost, The Drones, Neil Young, Arctic Monkeys, The Living End, The Prodigy, Sneaky Sound System, My Morning Jacket, Pendulum, Bullet for my Valentine, TV on the Radio, Simian Mobile Disco, The Ting Tings, Tiki Taane, Cut Copy, Cog, Youth Group, The Grates, Birds of Tokyo, TZU and Eddy Current Suppression Ring.
