The Sticky and Sweet tour by Madonna may be the biggest solo tour ever.
When it wraps up in Brazil at the end of the month, the singer would have raked in £185.7m ($282m) in ticket sales.The 50-year-old held the previous record after her 2006 Confessions tour made £127.5m ($193.7m).
Tour producer Live Nation said the 28-date North American leg of the tour, which finished in Miami before 50,000 people at the Dolphin Stadium, sold 550,000 tickets and grossed £60.2m ($91.5m).
Her European run made her an estimated £136.6m ($207.5m) in ticket sales.
The tour, that supported the album Hard Candy, will finish in Sao Paulo with three nights from the 18th to 21st December.
