The number one zone on the Billboard chart should belong to the Twilight soundtrack this week. AC/DC Black Ice has been bumped from the number one spot after a two week reign at the top.
Twilight is a modern day love story about a vampire and human. It stars Kristen Stewart, Sarah Clarke and Matt Bushell.The movie soundtrack features music from Muse, Paramore, Linkin Park, Perry Farrell, Collective Soul and Iron & Wine.
According to Hitsdailydouble.com, ‘Twilight’ is tracking at selling around 169,000 units compared to AC/DC’s Black Ice at 159,000.
AC/DC has had an incredible run in just three weeks with more than 1.3 million units sold to date in the US.
Pink looks like taking a tumble. In its second week on sale in the USA, ‘Funhouse’ has had a 58% drop-off in sales and did around 75,000 units. It looks like falling from 2 to 5 this wee.
Expect debuts this week in the top 10 for Hinder, Andrea Bocelli and Brad Paisley.
Also debuting outside the Top 10 this week, expect to see the long awaited Q-Tip album ‘Renaissance’, Yo-Yo Ma’s ‘Songs of Joy & Peace’, as well as new albums from Sarah Brightman, Shiny Toy Guns and Harry Connick Jr.
