Pop star Avril Lavigne has issued a statement to fans apologizing for her behavior last week when she spat at photographers.
The singer was with her husband Deryck Whibley on Tuesday when she was approached by photographers when she was still in her car. She got out of the car and let go with a spit bomb which landed on a camera lens.The next night, she did it again, this time jumping from the car and yelling "Bitch" to the photographers.
In a statement, Avril says "I'd like to sincerely apologize for my behavior with the Paparazzi. It's trying at best dealing with their insistent intrusions. I meant no offense to my fans, whose relationship I truly value. I have and will always go out of my way for my fans. My behavior was a reaction to the persistent attack from the paparazzi".
