Its official Led Zeppelin are to tour without their curly haired frontman.
The band are currently auditioning frontmen to replace Robert Plant before getting into the studio to record a new album and plan a world tour.Bassist John Paul Jones told BBC Radio Devon the band were auditioning singers ahead of a world tour, as well as what would mark their tenth studio album.
He said: "We are trying out a couple of singers. We want to do it. It's sounding great and we want to get on and get out there."
Speculation has long been rife over who would front the reformed superstars, including White Stripe Jack White and Alterbridge singer Myles Kennedy.
Speaking at a guitar show in Exeter, Jones admitted neither he, guitarist Jimmy Page and drummer Jason Bonham want a replica of Plant.
"It's got to be right. There's no point in just finding another Robert. You could get that out of a tribute band, but we don't want to be our own tribute band. There would be a record and a tour, but everyone has to be on board."
