Good Vibrations will be had by all at the Good Vibrations festival, taking place around the country in January and February 2009.
The lineup is diverse, but not as diverse as it has been in previous years at the festival.Despite the fact that they find themselves way down the bill in the press release, I feel compelled to announce first the almighty Cuban Brothers will be making a welcome return to the festival.
Fatboy Slim will entice several thousand people to stand there and watch him play records (even the bio refers to him as a “Jack-Of-All-Genres”... ouch), but it’s the shows with a live element to them like Roni Size and The Roots that will make the festival exciting.
The full lineup is:
Fatboy Slim, The Presets, Roni Size, The Roots, The Cuban Brothers, Deadmau5, Sam Sparro, Chromeo, Stanton Warriors, The Potbeleez, Kid Kenobi, Micky Slim, Yelle, Wale, Rico Tubbs and Mike Realm, with more to be announced.
You can get yourself down to the festivals on the following dates:
FEBRUARY
14 - Centennial Park, Sydney
15 - The Nursery, Flemington Racecourse, Melbourne
21 - Parklands Showgrounds, Gold Coast
22 - Heirisson Island, Perth
Note the new venues in Melbourne, Gold Coast and Perth.
Tickets are on sale at 9am, Monday October 13.
