US Presidential candidate Barack Obama says he is a big fan of how the hip-hop culture is developing entrepreneurs.
Speaking to MTV, Obama said, “I'm a little older than hip-hop culture. I was there at the beginning, but I was already getting older. ... What I've appreciated, watching this hip-hop generation, is to see how entrepreneurial they've been.”Obama has referred to Lil Wayne in speeches and says Stevie Wonder is his all-time hero.
As for having the time to listen to new acts, he says, “I enjoy it but these days I don't have the time to listen to it all the time.”
This Saturday, Jay-Z will perform two free shows this weekend in support of the Senator. You can see Jay-Z at the Cobo Hall in Detroit on Saturday and the Bayfront Park in Miami on Sunday.
