The imminent release of the J.D. Fortune solo album ‘Death of a Motivational Speaker’ is getting closer with news that the INXS reality show winner is making a video for the first single.
Fortune will go back to his old school, West Pictou Consolidated to film part of the video for the song ‘White-Knuckler Flier’.The video will feature students from the school singing along with Fortune. Visually, they will be all dressed in a black and white t-shirt with their birthday written on their chest.
300 students from J.D.’s old school will sing the chorus.
West Pictou Consolidated has had a number of star students over the years. Country singer George Canyon and folk singer Dave Gunning also attended the school.
“That stage is where I had my first band, with George and Dave, all three of us were on this stage at one point,” Fortune told NGnews.ca. “I haven’t been here in over a decade and it’s old ghosts everywhere, getting beat up, getting my first kiss and my first song, the first one I’d ever written, was done here.”
As for his future with INXS, Fortune told the local news site that he is still very much a part of the group. INXS, he says, is taking at 14-month hiatus after their 47-country world tour.
J.D. Fortune’s ‘Death of a Motivational Speaker’ will be released independently.
