Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler is suing a pair who have been impersonating him and his girlfriend, Erin Brady, on a blog.
Tyler, 60, filed the lawsuit today in L.A. Superior Court, claiming that the cyber-theives have been using his identity, as well as his girlfriend’s, since 2007.He said he didn’t know the real names of those who have impersonated him online, but he believes it is the same group who was responsible for similar postings in 2007. Those websites were removed by Google in December last year, but later reappeared on the web anyway.
In the lawsuit, Tyler claims that the impersonators have posted pictures and “intimate details about [his] private life, including [Tyler's] relationship with his girlfriend, his children and his mother.”
“The impersonated statements relating to (Tyler’s) mother are perhaps most hurtful given that she recently passed away,” the lawsuit stated.
One posting had 31 entries for 2008, and another written by “Brady” had seven entries in recent months, the lawsuit said, also posted at Blogspot.com.
