Tenacious D's much-anticipated feature film debut, and accompanying epic soundtrack, are almost upon us.
Both are set for a November release, with Jack Black and Kyle Gass discussing with Billboard the finer details of some of the tracks. In 'Master Exploder, "Jack dreams how kick-ass we're going to be once we have the Pick of Destiny", Gass told Billboard. Meanwhile, 'Classico' is "about when Jack and I first meet at Venice Beach, and a spontaneous jam happens. Jack starts singing along a classical riff to my classical guitar solo."The duo also declared that the film will have the best intro ever, with Black boasting, "We kick it off with a kick-ass animation, actually. What is a better one, Kyle, that you can think of? 'North by Northwest' by Alfred Hitchcock. That's a good one, but is it better than the D?"
The trailer can be viewed at the film's official 'greatest website in the world', tenaciousdmovie.com. The band are set to embark on a worldwide tour once the film is released, with Black suggesting they'll be visiting Australia again.
