Buskers from the streets of New York were the first to perform songs from the new Oasis album.
On Friday, September 12, street musicians from around the city popped up all over town singing the songs from `Dig Out Your Soul`.The Gallagher Brothers gave a few lessons in “how to sound Oasis”. Noel and Liam Gallagher taught the music and words leading up to the performances.
The buskers then spread across the streets and subways of New York City including Grand Central Station and Times Square on Friday to give the people of the city their first listen to the new Oasis music.
They sang `Bag It Up`, `The Turning, `Get Off Your High Horse Lady` and `The Shock of the Lightning`.
The chance to hear the new songs was the only chance NYC was given after their show last week was cancelled following the on-stage attack on the band in Toronto earlier in the week.
