Stories are circulating that Led Zeppelin have returned to the studio but without Robert Plant.
Jason Bonham, the son of the late Zep drummer John Bonham, has told a US radio station that he has been working in the studio on new material with Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones.Bonham said that they were “jamming” on the new material.
While reports are suggesting that this could turn into a new Led Zeppelin album, it is highly unlikely.
For starters, Jimmy Page would never call a project Led Zeppelin unless it included the three surviving members.
Even when he toured and recorded with Robert Plant, it was credited only as Page & Plant, not Led Zeppelin.
Page and Jones only would not be a Zeppelin project.
Robert Plant is currently on tour in the USA with Alison Krauss. Led Zeppelin performed for the first time in London last December.
