Although hardly unexpected, Timbaland has failed to show for his Australian tour, which has sent a great big “fuck you” message to his Aussie fans.
Undercover became aware that there were troubles with the tour after Timbaland dates where rescheduled to the same time as his European dates.Timbaland was scheduled to play in Melbourne, Australia and Poland on the same day.
A statement from the touring company Showtime Touring Group reads, “Showtime touring regrets to inform fans that due to lack of contact from Timbaland and his management and any of his representatives also the fact that Timbaland’s label Universal Music Australia sending out the following Press Release below-
“Timbaland will not be appearing this month in Australia but he looks forward to performing for his Australian fans in the near future”
It is with great disappointment we must advise all ticketholders to get refunds from point of purchase because all indications is that Timbaland is not going to show up for the Australian/New Zealand shows even though we have not been officially notified of this intent.”
Timbaland’s tour was due to start in Sydney tonight and the August 22 date was the same date as a show being promoted in Poland. (It will be interesting to see if he fronts for that).
Timbaland has made no comment about his no-show. He not only failed to turn up for the tour, he didn’t even have the decency to tell the promoter or his fans.
It’s great to hear that Timbaland is looking forward to “performing for his Australian fans in the near future”. After this bullshit, with the number of Australian fans he will have left, he’ll be able to do a tour of cubicles.
