Annie Lennox has recorded a song by Keane and another by Ash for inclusion on her forthcoming best-of album.
For The Annie Lennox Collection, Annie has recorded Tom Chaplin`s `Pattern Of My Life` that was originally called `Closer Now` when recorded by Keane. She has also cover the 2001 Ash track `Shining Light`. `I first discovered this song by Ash about six years ago, and I simply couldn`t stop listening to it. It`s so exultant that it virtually shimmers,` Lennox says in a statement.
The Annie Lennox Collection is a summary of her four solo albums, starting with `Diva` in 1992. `It seems like the time has come to release the Collection this year,` Lennox says of her first best of set. `I`m very proud of these songs. They are timeless and have become `classics` in their own right.`
