My Bloody Valentine’s Kevin Shields has teamed with Patti Smith to release a live version of their performance of The Coral Sea.
Patti put the concept together as a tribute to friend, Robert Mapplethorpe. It was also the title of her 1996 book.The recordings making up the release were made on June 22, 2005 and September 16th, 2006 at the QEH in London.
Smith and Shields will release the album on their own indie label Pask through Inertia on August 18th.
