Alicia Keys and Jack White have recorded the theme for the 22nd James Bond movie `Quantum of Solace`. The song will be the first time a duet has been recorded as a Bond theme.
The song titled `Another Way To Die` joins a list of Bond themes created over the years by artists including Paul McCartney, Madonna, Duran Duran, Shirley Bassey and Tom Jones.The Keys and White track finally puts an end to the reports that Amy Winehouse had recorded a song for the movie. Beyonce was also reported to have offered up a demo.
That is not to see we won`t ever hear those songs. Alice Cooper released his unused theme to `The Man With The Golden Gun` on his `Muscle of Love` album. Blondie`s `For Your Eyes Only` was passed up by the Bond peeps so they released it on `The Hunter`. Pulp recorded `Tomorrow Never Lies` for `Tomorrow Never Dies`. It was used as one of their b-sides. Pet Shop Boys also worked up a theme for `The Living Daylights`. It was later turned into the song `This Must Be The Place I Waited Years To Leave` and released on their 1990 album `Behaviour`.
