Babyshambles singer Pete Doherty has admitted in court that he willfully smashed a photographer`s camera, just one day after he was released from rehab.
Doherty said he lost his temper when he was followed into a pub by reporters, grabbed the camera from photographer Catherine Mead and broke the lens.While the court recognized that Mead has hassling the singer in public, he was still ordered to pay £918.27 in compensation and £100 in costs.
Doherty was due to front court earlier in the week but was a no show. A warrant was issued for his arrest but later revoked.
He was charged with criminal damage.
