New albums by Justin Timberlake and Beyonce have become the fasting selling releases of 2006.
Beyonce's 'B'Day' has debuted at number one in the US with sales exceeding 570,000 units.Justin Timberlake's 'FutureSex/LoveSounds' is predicted to go past the 700,000 sales mark next week, making it the fastest selling album of the year.
Both Beyonce and Timberlake have done better with their new albums than their solo debuts. Beyonce's 'Dangerously In Love' sold 317,000 units in week 1 and went on to sell 4.2 million.
Timberlake's 'Justified' did 439,000 in the first week and went on to sell 3.5 million.
However, both fall short of the first week sales of the last albums of their previous bands. Destiny's Child's 'Survivor' sold 479,000 in its first official week on sale. NSYNC's 'No Strings Attached' did a massive 2.4 million in week one.
