Nickelback is Live Nation’s latest acquisition.
The Canadian rock band will release its new music via the touring company is yet another 360 deal that includes tickets and merchandise.Nickelback is expected to have pocketed somewhere between $50 million and $70 million for the deal.
Live Nation will look after the band’s merchandising, sponsorships, licensing, ticketing, endorsements, DVD and broadcast rights, fan club and website over a three-album, three-tour deal after the band delivers its final two albums to Roadrunner Records.
Nickelback was Roadrunners biggest commercial success. The band’s last album sold more than 10 million units for the label.
Live Nation has previously done 360 deals with Madonna, Jay-Z, U2 and Shakira.
