Jailbird and snappy dresser Li'l Kim joins the cream of the rap world for VH1's Hip-Hop Honors.
On October 13, VH1 will air their third annual Hip-Hop Honors, hosted by living legend Ice T and featuring a veritable who's who of US hip-hop acts.This year VH1 will celebrate the contributions of hip-hop legends Ice Cube, Wu-Tang Clan, Afrika Bambaataa, Russell Simmons, MC Lyte, Rakim, Beastie Boys and Eazy E. All the honorees (except for Russell Simmons, Afrika Bambaataa and the late Eazy E) will take to the stage and perform.
And that's just the beginning as Li'l Kim will perform a tribute to pioneering female rapper MC Lyte. She said in a statement, "I'm honored to have the opportunity to show my respect and how she influenced me." Other performers include Diddy, Fat Joe, Lil Jon, Da Brat, Xzibit, Talib Kweli, Remy Ma, Q-Tip, Common, The Roots, George Clinton, Young Jeezy, Erykah Badu and KRS-One, with ?uestlove of The Roots as musical director.
