Kylie Minogue was at Buckinghuge Palace yesterday where Prince Charles awarded her the OBE.
In a statement at her website, Kylie says, "It is an incredible honor for me to receive this award. It makes me feel both humble and proud to be recognized for doing a job that I love so much."Kylie's mother and father Carol and Ron went with her to the Palace. Her sister Dannii Minogue and manager Terry Blamey also witnessed her proud moment.
Before she accepted the award, Kylie told the media, "I was very excited and to have my family here was magical... I do feel very proud. I think my job, aside from making music, is about communication and this symbolises my communication with my audience around the world."
As to where the medal will end up' "I'll admire it for a while, and then keep it safe in its box!," she said.
Kylie is currently on her KylieX2008 tour in Europe. The next gig is tomorrow in Glasgow. An announcement about the Australian tour is expected soon. Undercover predicts November dates.
