It can't be easy being Madonna's pitbull, but the fact is you can only cry wolf so often. It is difficult for the media to take anything Madonna publicist Liz Rosenberg says about the material girl at face value these days.
Liz has issued a statement denying that Madonna and Guy Ritchie are not seeking a divorce. That is contradictory to everything we are hearing from the media about Madonna hiring Paul McCartney's divorce lawyer to look after her impending break-up.This may or may not be true either way. The trouble is, we really don't know. Just because Liz says it is doesn't mean it really is. The media just can't take any statement Liz makes about Madonna serious anymore because she has a history of denying things that ended up being true.
As an example, let's go back to 2006. In October of that year, Liz's paycheck came in part from denying Madonna was adopting an African child. "Madonna has not adopted a baby boy as has been previously and incorrectly reported," she told the Associated Press.
As today, Ms Rosenberg has flat-out denied that Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie are getting divorced.
We hope you are right Ms R. Then again, you get paid a lot of money to say whatever Madonna wants you to say.
