Chamillionaire's smash hit 'Ridin'' gains added kudos by earning a parody by "Weird Al" Yankovich.
It's almost a rite of passage for a big hit to get the requisite punfest treatment from "Weird Al". MTV reported that Coolio wasn't impressed that 'Gangsta's Paradise' was subject to the "Weird Al" treatment, but Chamillionaire has told them he's impressed at Yankovich turning 'Ridin'' into 'White And Nerdy'.Chamillionaire said of the multi-platinum selling gagmeister, "Weird Al is not gonna do a parody of your song if you're not doing it big. You gotta be a big dog," and praised Yankovich's mic skills, "He's actually rapping pretty good on it, it's crazy."
The rap star continued to gush, "It's actually very funny if you listen to what he's saying. The way Krayzie (Bone) is harmonizing (on the original), he does the same thing. It surprised me. I didn't know he could rap like that."
The song will appear on Yankovich's new album 'Straight Outta Lynwood' due late September, which will also feature parodies of Usher, Green Day, R.Kelly and James Blunt's 'You're Beautiful' as 'You're Pitiful'. It promises to include a 9-minute behind-the-scenes doco and six new videos, including one just shot for 'White And Nerdy'.
